The Healthcare Conversation: Navigating the U.S. Health System by [Vo, Linh Doan]

Exciting news! Linh Vo, one of our intrepid undergraduate researchers, just published a book on the healthcare system in the United States! This is a huge achievement for anyone, and is all the more impressive for someone also balancing course work and research. Congrats Linh!

You can check out the book on amazon and learn more about it on Linh’s website.

First abstract accepted!

Congratulations to Marissa, who will be presenting her work on the patch foraging task at the CSHL Neuronal Circuits conference later this spring!

This will be the lab’s first poster presentation, so it’s a significant milestone. Check back here for a copy of the poster when it’s ready!

UPDATE: Alas, this conference was cancelled due to coronavirus. Stay tuned–we’re working out an alternative way to share these results!

Blackrock recording system unboxing (part 1)

The first shipments from Blackrock arrived today, containing recording systems, headstages, cameras and various interface boxes/cables/etc. The next shipment should have our commutators.

The 20 inch, 6.5 pound laptop (lower left) is truly impressive, and the headstages come in boxes that look like they should contain jewelry or something. Luxe! Can’t wait for the rest to arrive.
